The N Performance Brand Makes Moves

Here at Hall Hyundai Newport News, we know that Hyundai cars aren't just reliable; they're fun to drive too, and drivers looking for performance can usually find it in their favorite new Hyundai models. Drivers searching for even more horsepower have a lot to look forward to from the N Performance brand, which just debuted a new vehicle stateside and revealed plans for another.

First, we have to talk about the Hyundai Veloster N. It just celebrated its American debut at the Thunderhill Racetrack in California. It will become the first N Performance Hyundai car to make an appearance in the United States when it launches later this year. It's powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that can put out 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. If that's not enough for you, an available performance package adds another 25 horsepower. The Hyundai Veloster N will also offer an exclusive color, Performance Blue. This hatchback delivers incredible performance and a thrilling driving experience in a car that's also ideally suited to everyday driving.

The Hyundai N Performance division has also announced plans to design a new “halo” car. Halo cars are generally designed to show just what a brand can do. A potential halo car could be influenced by the Hyundai RM16, a concept that made its debut in Busan back in 2014. It had a total output of nearly 300 horsepower, but recent rumors indicate that a potential N Performance halo car could have up to 350 horsepower. We can't wait to see what Hyundai engineers come up with.
